д.' употребляется solve: to solve a puzzle, to solve a problem. д., и в этом значении может взаимозаменяться с determine: to decide (to determine) to master English. Однако determine часто предполагает решение, обдуманное во всех подробностях: to decide to introduce changes и to determine what changes should be made. Resolve подчеркивает твердую решимость сделать что-л.: to resolve to break oneself of a bad habit, to resolve to win the battle.
